Winter is painting season.
From November through March the visitors thin out and the maintenance list gets long. Volunteers come for a weekend, work hard, and eat very well.

Maintenance weekends
Painting, pointing, clearing gull nests from gallery rails, and the eternal fight against rust. Cass Holloway leads; no experience required.
Archive helpers
Sorting keeper logbooks and lens drawings at the Skerrow Point cottages. Good for anyone who likes quiet rooms.
Climb guides
Lead visitor groups up the Wickstone Head spiral, April through October. Training takes two weekends.
